Parks Millage Updates

KENTWOOD PARKS, TRAILS AND RECREATIONAL IMPROVEMENTS

Thank you, Kentwood voters! Your approval of a dedicated permanent millage will provide funding to improve the City’s parks, trails and recreational facilities and programming. This new millage will be levied starting July 1, 2023.

Funding will be used for needed repairs, improvements, operations and maintenance of these invaluable amenities and services. As part of our commitment to contribute funds from other public and private sources, we are also applying for grants to make our tax dollars go further for needed improvements.

Visit this page often to track the progress of the millage investment plan. More information on improvements and project timelines* will be added to this page as plans are finalized and projects are bid out. Updates on millage-funded projects will also be shared on the City’s Facebook pages – City of Kentwood and City of Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department – and in our monthly eNewsletter.

*Please note: Project timelines are dependent on weather and supply chain/inflation circumstances.
