Multigenerational Community Center
The new community center will be located near the City Hall campus on Walma Avenue behind Fire Station 1 and across from the Kentwood Justice Center.
We anticipate the community center will open to the public in late 2025. This is subject to change based on construction schedules, supply chain circumstances, etc.
At this time, we expect construction to begin in September 2024. This is subject to change based on weather, economic factors, supply chain circumstances, etc.
We are working on finalizing the building’s amenities and are seeking community feedback on them. To share your thoughts, please take our architect’s survey by Dec. 31.
At this time, we anticipate there will be a membership system in place for the community center. More details will be available as we get closer to opening the building.
The current Parks and Recreation building will continue to be used for recreation activities and office space.
