BRUSH AND LEAF DROP-OFF PROGRAMS
The City of Kentwood offered its brush and leaf drop-off program this past spring April 3-May 28. The sites are now closed for summer and will return this fall.
When in operation, the sites are offered at the Kentwood Department of Public Works, 5068 Breton Ave. SE, noon-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-6 p.m. on Sunday.
The brush drop-off site accepts brush, sticks, tree limbs and logs. Materials not accepted include: plastic and paper bags, trash, dirt, concrete, asphalt, tires, rocks, stones, construction materials, glass or metal. The leaf drop-off site accepts loose leaves and grass clippings.
Beyond helping make yard maintenance easier, leaf and brush collections services also help residents stay in compliance with City ordinances. The accumulation of leaves and debris on a property or in the right-of-way is prohibited in the City of Kentwood, as is burning leaves and brush.
The services are available to Kentwood residents only; anyone wishing to drop off items must show proof of residency. No contractors are allowed. Questions may be directed to the Department of Public Works at 616.554.0817.
