The 62-B District Court has jurisdiction over all landlord tenant actions arising from properties located within the City of Kentwood.  See the map below.

Summary Proceedings Jurisdiction
The 62-B District Court has jurisdiction over summary proceedings for evictions in landlord tenant, land contract forfeitures, and evictions after the redemption period has ended after a mortgage foreclosure. 
Monetary Limits
The 62-B District Court has jurisdiction over landlord tenant cases up to $25,000.  The Circuit Court handles cases that exceed $25,000.00.  However,  a District Court judge may receive an appointment of Circuit Court Judge authority over a case within the district.  Therefore, the case may still be heard by the District Court Judge in the District Court.
