Adaptive Sponsorship
Our Adaptive Recreation Program exists to provide quality recreation and enrichment programs for people of all abilities. Alongside our community partners, we take pride in planning and implementing programs that encourage health and wellness, socialization, and excellent quality of life for all. Your sponsorship helps provide food and supplies for these events and activities. In-kind donations such as gift cards, promotional items, and fun gifts are also accepted! Sponsorship is for individual events.

LEISURE CLUB
Meets weekly on Thursdays | 6:30-8:00pm | Location varies
The Leisure Club is a group of young adults that get together weekly to do something fun in our community. This group is a great place for teens and adults with developmental disabilities to socialize, try new things and engage in positive leisure experiences. Our instructor assists with planning, supervision, and social skills. Various activities include game night, attending a Whitecaps game, eating out at a local restaurant, roller skating, making crafts, attending community events, and more.
SOCIAL DANCES
VALENTINE’S DANCE
Thursday, February 8, 6-8pm | Kentwood Library
Break up the Winter blues with friends, dancing, and dinner! Celebrate love and friendship at the annual Valentine’s Day Dance. Attendees are encouraged wear red, pink or purple, and to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Kentwood Little Free Pantry.
SPRING FLING
Thursday, June 6, 6-8pm | Kentwood Library
Get ready to do the limbo! Spring into Summer with our annual Spring Fling Dance! We’ll have food, beverages, prizes, plenty of dancing, and a game! Our DJ will keep the party going. Be sure to wear your favorite springtime outfit!
HALLOWEEN DANCE
Thursday, October 24, 6-8pm | Kentwood Library
Let’s have a spooktacular time at the annual Halloween Dance and costume contest! Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Enjoy beverages and snacks while doing the monster mash, limbo, and playing a group game.

Join us at The Vibe on September 12
WHAT IS THE VIBE?
It's our eighth annual celebration and fundraiser to further enhance Kentwood’s adaptive recreation programs. This year's event will be held at the Kentwood Library Courtyard at 4950 Breton SE on Thursday, September 12 from 6-9 p.m. The fun-filled backyard party will include cocktails, dinner, silent auction, adaptive equipment displays, and live music. Guests are invited to dress casual for the event.
