The City of Kentwood is seeking applications from residents to fill a vacant position on the City Commission. You may apply in person at Kentwood City Hall or online HERE.
City Commissioners meet twice per month on the first and third Tuesday. Meetings normally begin at 5:30 PM and sometimes end after 9:00 PM. The term for this position expires November 2019. City Commissioners are paid $6,800 per year.
Qualified applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Kentwood resident for at least one year and registered voter;
- Must not be in default with the City of Kentwood; and
- Must not have a felony conviction.
The City will accept applications until noon on December 6, 2018. The City Commission plans to have an appointment made by January of 2019.
