Summer Concert Series - Par-llo Connection
Join us on Thursday, July 14 on the lawn behind Kentwood City Hall for music by Par-llo Connection. Par-llo: the acronym for PEACE ALL RACES LIVE AND LOVE OTHERS. Originating from West Michigan, the band performs R&B and funk, including jams from the 80's to current Top 40 hits.
Par-llo Connection formed in 1980. They were all high school classmates and grew up in the Madison/Hall area in Grand Rapids, MI. They played for local festivals, family reunions, played UAW halls and local bars in GR, Muskegon and as far as Kokomo, Indiana. Parllo connection disbanded in 1986 and remained close friends. After 30 years the band took a challenge and got back together. You won’t want to miss this show!
Food trucks include The Falafel Truck, Kool Breze, and Mapocho Fresh Sanwishes – Food Trailer.
Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair and join us on the lawn behind Kentwood City Hall. Come early and check out the Kentwood Farmers Market which takes place next door in front of the Kentwood Library from 4:30-7:30pm. Concertgoers are also welcomed to bring their own beer or wine to the show.
