Ron Draayer has devoted his life to the teaching and training of young people and adults to help prepare them for the world of work and service. He has recently retired after 40 years as a classroom professor at Davenport University in Grand Rapids. Ron’s focus of education was in the field of technology and cybersecurity. He has been a leader and board member of Michigan InfraGard, which is an FBI organization that works with law enforcement, business leaders and academic professionals to help protect our electrical, water, transportation and other infrastructure assets.

Ron has also been a local and state advisor for Business Professionals of America (BPA) which is a national organization that promotes student growth and achievement through academic competitions. Ron served on the National Board of BPA and has established a Middle-Level BPA program in Michigan that is designed for middle-level and junior high students.

Ron holds a bachelor’s degree from Calvin College, a master’s in management from Aquinas College and master of science degree from Ferris State University.

He has three grown children and is a homeowner in Kentwood.
