Kentwood voters will be affected by the changes related to Federal, State and local guidelines regarding representation and voting districts following the 2020 census.  Approved maps will result in the following changes:

  • U.S. Congress - Kentwood changes from 2nd District to 3rd District
  • Michigan House of Representatives - Kentwood changes from 72nd District to 80th District
  • Michigan Senate - Kentwood changes from 26th District to 29th District
  • Kent County Commission:
    • Kentwood Precinct 6 changes from 12th District to 10th District
    • Kentwood Precincts 7 & 9 change from 13th District to 12th District
  • City of Kentwood Precinct 17 moves from Ward 2 to Ward 1
  • City of Kentwood Precinct boundary adjustments:
    • Portion of Precinct 2 changes to Precinct 3 (residents south of the East West Trail)
    • Portion of Precinct 10 changes to Precinct 17 (Baileys Grove residents on Stone Briar Court and north of Old Elm Drive)
    • Portion of Precinct 11 changes to Precinct 12 (residents north of 52nd Street)
    • Portion of Precinct 15 changes to Precinct 14 (residents east of Shaffer Avenue)
