minimum requirements: 

  • Successful completion of two (2) years of college level coursework;
  • Be at least 18 years of age;
  • Be a United States citizen at the time of testing for the position;
  • Must not have any felony convictions;
  • Possess a valid Michigan driver's license prior to hire date;
  • Must have attended a police academy; and
  • Be MCOLES certified or certifiable by September 13,  2021
Salary: 
  • The current starting pay range for July 1 2020 is $26.45 per hour ($55,013 annual).
  • The top pay as of July 1 2020 (after four years) is $34.79 per hour ($72,254 annual).
