May 5, 2018
8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The City of Kentwood holds an annual community clean-up day on the first Saturday in May to help keep our community clean. The drop-off location is at the Kentwood Recycling Center at 5068 Breton Ave. This service is provided to Kentwood residents with proof by picture identification.
The Kent County Department of Public Works will be on hand to accept household hazardous waste items. They will not be accepting latex paint. Further information about household hazardous waste may be obtained by calling 616.632.7920.
The Salvation Army will be on hand to accept gently used items for donations.
Comprenew will also be present to receive electronic waste like mobile telephones, computers, fax machines, and other items will be accepted at no charge. CRT screens will not be accepted but can be dropped off directly at any Comprenew commercial location.
YARD WASTE AND TIRES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
The event is limited to the hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. because dumpsters are delivered and taken away at those times. Please respect these times so we can continue to provide this positive community service.
Residents are asked to enter the drive off Breton Avenue where volunteers will be checking for residence and approved items for disposal. We thank you in advance for taking pride in your home and community.
