SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS UNIT
The Special Investigations Unit is a small, but versatile, team which includes a sergeant and two detectives.  They are responsible for investigating street-level drug crimes, prostitution, alcohol violations, marijuana dispensary violations and other vice-related crimes.

Call Kent County Silent Observer at (616) 774-2345 or toll free at 1-866-774-2345, 24/7 with information about serious crimes in your community.  You will never be asked your name.  Instead you will be given a special code number, called a tip number that is special only to you. Public Act 557 strengthens Silent Observer's promise of anonymity to tipsters who call our tip line with information about crime.  Silent Observer is most interested in information about serious crimes that affect the safety and well being of your neighborhood and community.  Tips about arson, drugs, burglary, criminal sexual conduct, robbery, murder, weapons, theft, vandalism and people with warrants are just some of the crimes Silent Observer would like to receive information.
