Winter Concert Series: Bello Spark

Our Winter Concert Series is back again in 2020! Join us for music from Bello Spark (1/16), Serita’s Black Rose (2/20), and Nicholas James Thomasma (3/19).  Concerts take place inside the Community Room at the Kentwood Library. Guests are welcomed to bring their own beer or wine to enjoy at the show. Each concert will also have a food truck outside. Get out of the house and join us at the Kentwood Library for winter evening fun!

Valentine's Dash 5k

Kentwood Library (4950 Breton SE)
This race will get you outside to enjoy a combination of trails and roads in Kentwood. This course is great for first-time runners but will also provide a challenge to more experienced runners. This race is perfect for running with your sweetie, soul mate, BFF or to meet someone new! Kids and families are welcome. The fastest runners will be awarded but so will the "best dressed." Those with the best Valentine themed costumes will be judged by their fellow runners to determine who is the "best dressed." Our race will have each mile marked, Valentine Candy stations, and an after party located in our Community Room at the Library.
Cost $25 per person until 12/31,  $30 per person from 1/1-2/7,  $35 per person on race day 2/8

Family Luau Dance

Aloha! Who's ready for a memorable night of dancing and fun? Kids are invited to bring their dads, moms, grandparents, or other relative as their "date" to our HAWAIIAN LUAU themed dance! Refreshments & snacks will be served. There will also be a craft activity, photo area, and DJ playing fun music.  Cost is $25 per couple, $10 per extra person. Pre-registration is required. Freeze Fest Disc Golf Tournament

Jaycee Park (1088 Gentian Dr. SE)
We're partnering with Great Lakes Disc to bring you another doubles disc golf tournament and food drive! Bring your own partner. Best shot doubles tournament. All funds raised will go towards Kentwood Parks & Recreation Youth Programs and all food items donated will go to the Little Free Pantry.
Cost $40 + canned food item per team

Limb Loss Awareness 5k

Bowen Station Park (4499 Bowen Blvd)
Kentwood Parks and Recreation is once again teaming up with Hanger Clinic to offer our third annual Limb Loss Awareness 5k! This family friendly event is designed to be a fundraiser for Kentwood Parks and Recreation’s Adaptive Recreation Programs. All profits will be channeled towards improving and offering more programs for people with physical disabilities. This race takes place on the beautiful East West and Paul Henry Trails. All abilities are welcome to participate! We will also be having a kid’s 1 miles fun run!  Kids will receive a t-shirt and ribbon. Race will start and end at Bowen Station Park.
Cost Early Bird registration through 2/28:$20, 3/1-3/31: $25, 4/1-4/25: $30, Race day $35 per person. Kid's fun run is $5. Day of registrations are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
