Winter Concert Series

Kentwood Library (4950 Breton SE)

Our Winter Concert Series is back again in 2019! Join us for music from the Eric Engblade Trio, Mark Lavengood, and the Sookie J Trio. Concerts take place inside the Community Room at the Kentwood Library. Guests are welcomed to bring their own beer or wine to enjoy at the show. Each concert will also have a food truck outside. Get out of the house and join us at the Kentwood Library for winter evening fun!

Join us for the 18th annual Taste of Kentwood. Sample food from sixteen restaurants. You won't want to miss this evening of food and fun at the Kentwood Activities Center. Two sessions: 4:30-6:00pm and 6:30-8:00pm.  Kids 5 and under are free.
Cost $6 in advance, $8 day of event, kids 5 and under eat for free

Join us for a delicious pancake breakfast from 9:00-11:00am.
Get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny from 10:00-11:00am! (Please bring your own camera).
We’ll have other fun activities for kids too!

Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Kids 5 and under eat for FREE!

Spotlight on Seniors Health & Fitness Expo

The Kentwood and Georgetown Seniors invite you to join them at the 20th Annual Spotlight on Seniors Health & Fitness Expo on Tuesday, April 23 from 8:30am-12:00pm at the Kentwood Activities Center.  Seniors will be able to visit over 70 vendors from a variety of senior-oriented businesses, receive free health screenings and maybe even win a door prize!  Seniors will enjoy FREE morning snacks and FREE lunch!  For vendor information please call (616) 656-5278.

Limb Loss Awareness 5k

Bowen Station Park (4499 Bowen Blvd)
Kentwood Parks and Recreation is once again teaming up with Hanger Clinic to offer our second annual Limb Loss Awareness 5k! This family friendly event is designed to be a fundraiser for Kentwood Parks and Recreation’s Adaptive Recreation Programs. All profits will be channeled towards improving and offering more programs for people with physical disabilities. This race takes place on the beautiful East West and Paul Henry Trails. All abilities are welcome to participate! New this year we will be having a kid’s 1 miles fun run!  Kids will receive a t-shirt and ribbon. Race will start and end at Bowen Station Park.
Cost $20 until 2/28,  $25 from 3/1-3/31, $30 from 4/1-4/26, Race day $35 per person. Kid's fun run is $5. Day of registrations are not guaranteed a t-shirt.

The Vibe: A Kentwood Parks & Recreation Gala

Join us for the fourth annual celebration and fundraiser to further enhance Kentwood’s parks and recreation programs and amenities. Kentwood Parks and Recreation strives to offer sports and recreational programs for all ages and abilities. This year’s gala will highlight our Adaptive Water Sports Program, which includes kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, waterski, and wake boarding. These programs empower members of our community with physical and developmental disabilities. Funds raised at this year’s gala will go towards growing our adaptive programs and purchasing new equipment.

Ugly Sweater Cross Country 5k

East Paris Nature Park, 5995 East Paris Ave. SE, Kentwood, MI 49512
Lace up your running shoes and grab the ugliest sweater you can find and join us for the Ugly Sweater Cross Country 5K! Participants will get to explore a fun, curvy, cross country course. Vote for the ugliest sweater! Awards for runners and best dressed.
Cost $25 to participate. Rate increases to $30 on November 1; increases to $35 day of race.
