Limited Jurisdiction for Felonies
The 62-B District Court has jurisdiction to conduct an arraignment and a preliminary examination over all felonies committed by anyone 17 years old or older. A preliminary examination is held to establish probable cause that a felony was committed and probable cause to believe that the defendant committed the felony.
